Is Panama City Ready?

Post by Conolulu »

OK....I told enough people this weekend...May as well announce it here.

I have to have one more surgery...Will go for pre op visit on Wednesday and find out when.

This one is a little more complicated. Under General Anesthesia and a hospital stay..

But......

VERY SOON after that....probably within the next 4 weeks....

I am moving to Panama City and leaving my island.

Do you think it will survive me AND Cuervo?

I'm thinking if they can survive Spring Break.....we're safe....

Long story short...Dad is going in to an assisted living facility...and has done a Quit Claim on his house on Bay Avenue, to me.....
The mortgage is 1/3rd what my rent is here......and well, I feel the need to be near him at this time....

So y'all....very shortly...I'm Gulf bound.

It's going to be sooooooooo hard. Hell, I've only really lived 2 places...both on the Atlantic , and the furthest from the Ocean was 8 miles....But at least I'm still on water....

and I think I need a "Government Ave" sign for the front yard...so I can say I live on the corner of Government and Bay Avenue..... 8)

It's going to be emotional.....both my children will still be here...and I've been here 19 yrs now. Leaving Mayberry By The Sea will be one of the hardest things I've ever done....

But hey.....Change is good, right? Keeps us on our toes......

and there are no strangers.......

Just friends we haven't met.

Here's to new friends.....!

oh yeah... I have a HUGE yard...and we have already started planning an oyster roast and party in February.....details as I get settled in......
I hope to see all of y'all there at some point.....It has been a true joy being able to show off this island to visitors...and I look forward to it in PC......

If it's going to be a seafood fest, I am a DEFINITE no.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!
