"I don't know very much," Nelson said in a 1997 interview with The Associated Press. "I know a little bit about golf. I know how to make a stew. And I know how to be a decent man."

Ok - I don't know my golfers but this quote struck a cord - think how great the world would be if more people had this perspective! Sail on!SchoolGirlHeart wrote:One of the greatest golfers ever has passed on.....![]()

So smooth that the USGA has a machine/robot called "Iron Byron" that it uses to test golf clubs and golf balls for conformity to standards; it was named after Byron Nelson, because his swing was so consistent and perfect that legend has it that only a mechanical man could replicate it.jonesbeach10 wrote:Another interesting note is that his swing was so smooth, it has been replicated and used as a model by the pros, even today.
