George Strait has 53 number one hits.... I'm not sure if he wrote any of them, but he certainly didn't write the majority of them.....
so he "covered" them... :D
nope. they hadn't been recorded before, at least for the most part (I haven't checked each one....)

There's a huge difference between, "I don't care for this album" (perfectly legitimate, IMHO, as it's an opinion) and (papraphrasing) "This album suckks" (one person's "suckks" is another's "I like this")

That's the difference between lightning
And a harmless lightning bug

We shouldn't pass judgement on the new cd untill we all have a chance to listen to it while were drinking. I'm sure it will sound much better while dinking a bunch of beers.

even giving allowances for the sound quality of the clips, I don't think I need to be drinking to like this one. :D

but then, I don't come in with expectations... I listen to the music and decide whether or not I like it. So far, I like it.

don't mind me, just being a dork, who likes to laugh at other dorks, who think those little clips are enough to determine the validity of a recorded album

I've heard 4 of the songs at concerts this year, 1 last year and live versions of 2 others from shows I didn't go to. The only one I'm not sure about yet is Everybody's On The Phone. It's not horrible, but I need to hear that a few more times.
what I really mean . . . I wish you were here

I wasn't sure I'd like that one, but hearing it at MSG locked in the fact that I really like it a LOT. It's an especially fun song live.

Actually I like to listen to new music while driving. If your out driving you can focus on it better.

Agreed. I can't wait to hit the road with this CD.

I guess this has become the official comments on the new album thread!

At least we can edit if we choose to.

I'm enjoying the pre-preview music. Steve is the best at playing the kind of music I like on RM!

I tend to focus better on cell phone conversations while driving...
