"The legendary co-founder of bluegrass, Earl Scruggs is seen performing with the Earl Scruggs Review and a number of other performers, in a concert given in his honor in 1975. The performers who gathered to honor him include The Byrds, Doc & Merle Watson, The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Joan Baez, and Ramblin' Jack Elliott. Concert footage is interwoven with reminiscences and testimonials to this remarkable musician."

Obscure and out of print (I think), but great!!

I'd take Jaws and Stars Wars: A New Hope. John Williams is a master when it comes to creating music to go with a movie.

Both great, but my current fav for John is the soundtrack to Catch Me If You Can. So different that you don't know it's John until someone tells you (like now).

Jazzy and rather cool, so I think.

Soundtracks from my youth:
Footloose
The Secret of My Success
Beverly Hills Cop 2
The Lost Boys (this one has a VERY special memory)

edited to include:
The Big Easy (how could I have forgotten that one?)

Love John Williams, but that cd is missing one of my favorite Williams compositions: The Mission, otherwise known as the NBC News theme.

Jurassic Park is probably one of my favorites of Williams...

I think the only other soundtracks I've liked enough to buy:
Top Gun
Young Guns II (I think it was II, the one with Bon Jovi's "Blaze of Glory")
Hoot
