time I search (no matter which search engine I use)
there is a list kept.. if I go to search for anything

HI!! LTNSpeak!!
Have you tried deleting your history? Go into Tools~Internet options~and under the "general" tab you'll see clear history.
If that doesn't work then it may be a function specific to MSN and I couldn't help ya there.
Happy Friday tomorrow!!

Click the MSN logo next to each toolbar, and then click Clear Search History. If you're using the Deskbar, click in the Deskbar search box , click , and then click Clear Search History

My puter used to do that, then just quit one day, also deleted many favorites and re arranged them. Don't know how it happened, just did.

try Tools>INternet Options>Content (tab alon the top)>Auto Complete>Clear Forms
In that same spot, you can turn auto complete off and it shouldn't pull up those searches any more.

You can manually delete those searches, Wayne. I have those on several different searches on numerous different websites - both personal and work.
When the drop down menu of the searches show up, I just arrow down on each one and hit delete.
PITA, but it's possible.

Thanks.. Even that is not working...
I cleaned out the cookies and the search history..
and I did not even have to log back into anything...
