Well, since the Today Show is live, Matt Lauer will have an opportunity to ask JB an interesting question or two next week....
My other thoughts:
1) "Rented private jet"....what's wrong with the new Falcon?
2) 100 of anything is a high number to be carrying (spokesperson claimed 20...much more realistic for a typical Rx...which, for this very reason, should always be kept in original Rx container when traveling internationally; JB has to know this)
3) Did they test and confirm it was ecstacy? (Or is that the assumption?) (I believe all Rx drugs sold in the US are distinctly marked or identifiable, e.g. imprint into tablet, printing on capsules, etc.)
4) Anyone like JB would pay the fine to get rid of the hassle and avoid potential arrest.
5) Detained but not arrested...slapped with a fine...was any proper paperwork done to trace the accuracy of the facts?
6) We know JB had a good cold when he taped the RM album preview show.
7) JB did joke at Indy this year: "That's why I'll never run for president; I'd never pass the drug test!" Of course he'd claimed to have given up the hard stuff back in the 80s....
8 ) This wouldn't be a very typical RCA Nashville (or JB) publicity stunt...especially after having the word "joint" dubbed out of Bama Breeze. Such stories may in fact shorten his current welcome in Nashville.
9) I wonder if he's still be looking to do a show in Paris?
But every now and then, the dragons come to call
Just when you least expect it you'll be dodgin' cannonballs
