How about the old BN front page that was a compilation of all his album covers over the years? I can't remember whether it included LTC, but it would be neat to get all of them through TTWWY on there.... That would be a cool summary of his career, years, and connection to all of us. :D

My thoughts exactly BG. :D I didn't have time to mess with that this morning but very quickly threw this together for an idea. It's far from the perfect picture.

I've always liked his verse in Migration about if he ever lives to be an old man, sail down to Martinique, Bogart suit, African parakeet, cuss, fuss, pull a cork out of a bottle of wine. Not that Sixty is exactly an 'old man' but I'm sure Jimmy's probably amazed he's made it to the big Six Zero - perhaps when he wrote that he thought 60 was being an old man.

Of course, how that could be turned into a cover I'm not sure of. Perhaps just a visual combination of all of those points. It would be very obvious where it came from and what it is.

Cover?

How about a Brown Eyed Girl, sitting on the Coast of Marsailles, listening to Uncle John's Band, thinking that she has Boats To Build and looking up to the sky trying to figure out which is the Southern Cross [smilie=grineyes.gif]

I still like the idea of a user map showing all of our locations, not just the people who sent in pages for the book.

Great idea Bill and Michael. I am just wondering about getting EVERYONES location and who is everyone? If you go by the member list it would be a big map. Not everyone has a location in their profile so you would almost have to take a tally by PM or other means. All in all I don't think a map would be hard to do with city/state location for pinpoints. Something like I made for Connie?

By "everyone" I mean active users who choose to input their (approximate) locations on the map. Phjim was going to look into setting up a Google API for it, but I never heard anything back on it. If the group decides that's what we want to do, I can look into getting something set up and hosted somewhere.

It would work like the one over here;

that would be cool, though when people start to pile up in an area it's hard to click on them individually.....though Jimmy wouldn't have that option, unless we send him a link or wrap the gift with a laptop :roll:

It's easy enough to enter exact locations, you can zoom in on the map down to the street level.
Here's what that map looks like on the world scale - we could add whatever text we want.

I'm not dictating anything with this, just clarifying the idea...

I know Jim's been busy, but I can run it by him again.
