He seems a bit off. Maybe it's the ecstacy messing with him. ;)
Possibly it's just weird for him to have to sit there with essentially nothing to do. I mean how many reactions can you really HAVE to someone cooking?

Well, it's clear this is happening for no reason other than promoting the album (a/k/a not happening just because they're buddies). If the latter were the case it would make more sense for Jimmy to be helping cook (a la Dave Letterman and Martha Stewart). It would be a lot more entertaining if Jimmy were doing something and Emeril would stop yelling "JIM-MAY BUFFETT!"
maybe he is afraid he will forget who is on the show???
He always does that.....

Where the seagulls preach
Is where the Chinese buried the truth...

This reminds me:

Is there any reason why Jimmy usually does Leno but not Letterman in the past ten years or so? I love Letterman and can't stand Leno, but will watch him to see Jimmy.

Anybody know if there's a reason for this?

Friends or no friends would be more fun to have him help out - partake in some witty banter, etc. listening to Emeril yell has never been one of my favorite pastimes....

I think so...this is what I found

Q. I would love to be a member of a studio audience. How can I get tickets?

A. Attending a Food Network Canada show taping can be lots of fun. When a show is looking for audience members, we post ticket information on our Web site. Our programs tape at different times of the year and currently we don't have a show that requires a studio audience. If you would like information on the Emeril Live! ticket lottery for the New York filmed episodes, please visit www.foodtv.com.

No, they just moved it into that area and made a huge deal of it probably last year- maybe 2 years ago.

And I made a list for the chicken on the previous page.

Jimmy and Letterman had a pi$$ing contest a few years ago, apparently there's still some bad blood there.

I don't think I can agree with that. I think he's probably as big now as he's ever been. Just my personal opinion.
