How do family/friends/others like TTWWY?

TTWWY arrived today from Mailboat - right on time! It did crack me up a bit, though, to notice that the envelope was hand-addressed and truthfully looked like a package I'd get from somebody on Ebay.
Started playing it in the house and within a couple of minutes, the kids started dancing around the living room. Had to replay Party at the End of the World for them more than once. They love it.
Wondered if anybody else had gotten a reaction (good/ bad/ ugly?) to the disc from non-Buffett fans?

She's not a non-Buffett fan, but left a copy of it for my daughter (mid 20s). Yesterday was her birthday so i appreciate Jimmy releasing a new CD that day. Will holler back with her review.

Within minutes, the metalhead kids had donned heaphones to drown out "Mom's music"..... Mr. SGH rolled his eyes (but I caught him tapping his toes to one or two songs).... Within a few more minutes they all asked if I couldn't please find MY headphones..... (It's all in my master plan to get them to give me Boze noise canceling headphones for Christmas.....

My wife's not impressed. My keets like some of it, I get requests to play "Weather With You" in the car on the way to school. They sing along with some of the other tracks.
My wife's never been a big Buffett fan, although she does enjoy live Jimmy better than recorded Jimmy (or even recorded live Jimmy).

My 'keet is a fan, but Buffett has taken a backseat to metal and alternative for a while.....she did really like the "here we are" video and wanted to put the song on her iPod....
She liked Breathe In, Breathe Out, Move On, too.....

My 15 year old son totally digs it. I've managed to convert him fully. He's now a Buffett missionary, proselyting to his friends and teachers at school.
Just good genes I guess

I haven't yet told Mrs. Scuba that I bought it. Haven't had enough loans lately to afford "luxuries" like $10 cd's.
So I can't really comment, but thought it was funny that I am hiding a new cd from her.

I'm in the process of brain washing my 15 yr old. She went to her first concert this summer and I keep TTWWY playing. She likes Bama Breeze but she needs to listen to the CD more. Her 25 yr old sister loves it especially Hula Girl.

My husband's fav is Nothin but a Breeze.

Those Bose headphones are nice. I have the QC2 for work. The QC3 are nice, too.
My family enjoys the CD, not as much as I do though

HE LOVED IT !!!

The wife really hasn't like much of JB's stuff after Floridays and Fruitcakes. She totally trashed Hot Water/ OTSTL.... any who.
She, like myself liked maybe 50% of TTWWY. I had her listen to it by herself ( no, I didn't lock the door!). And it was remarkable the similarities on the likes/dislikes.
She liked Party, but hated the electronic voice ( like me). Also gave a thumbs down to:
Everybody's on the phone
Elvis
Wheel
And a so-so to:
Hula
Dukes
But the jaw dropper was she LOVED Whoop, I was so sure she would cringe on that one.
