I have a Panasonic stand alone CD/DVD Player and writer connected to my 42" Plazma in my family room, when I put the CD in that unit all I get is the 14 songs on the CD and no video. When I put the CD in my either cd player or my CD/DVD player/burner on my computer , all I get is the video and I can't get the 14 songs. Any Ideas????

My experience was different. When I put the CD into my PC, the music tracks would pop up in iTunes, but Here We Are was nowhere to be found. Same thing on my Apple laptop. I had to go into Explorer (on the PC) or Finder (on the Apple) in order to find a folder labeled "assets." I happened to know that that folder was what I was looking for only because I had been reading BN yesterday. Thank goodness. When they say "hidden track" they really mean it. And if you didn't KNOW that Here We Are was on there, I don't think you'd ever hear it (see it).

You won't be able to play the video on your dvd player, it's in a PC only format. As far as viewing the songs on your pc, go to my computer, right click the cd and click "explore" you'll see the songs. You should also see them in your media player depending on what player you use.
hope that helps!

I also had to go to Finder on my laptop, then find the .mov file and open it in Quicktime. If I hadn't been reading BN yesterday, I wouldn't have had a clue.....

That's how it worked for me too
I know there was talk of Here We Are being up on iTunes shortly, but does anyone know of a way to bring it from the CD into you iTunes and then your iPod?

The video is in autoplay. You can prevent this from holding the shift key when loading the disc or disable the autoplay feature on your drive.
For the Pod question, try saving the video off the CD disc onto your hard drive, then do whatever you have to do to make it for the Video Pod. Not sure if you have to re compress and resize to the I Pod codec. I don't own one so not sure if a .mov file can play on it. Frankly, I don't think it's worth it. At least you can resize the .mov file up without much loss.

Video iPod only play MP4 format. At least, that's what I've found out since I got mine video iPod a few weeks ago. There are programs out there that convert the MOV file to MP4. I used that, but need to play with the settings. It turned out to be mono and not stereo.

Thanks for the info. I've yet to try and convert any videos and then put them on my iPod. Everything I have on there (video wise), has been purchased through iTunes.

You can convert MOV files to M4V in iTunes 7, those will play on your iPod.
For a PC, right-click the file you want to convert and select "Convert Selection for iPod." I don't imagine it's too different, but maybe easier, for a Mac.
EDIT: You can do this when you see the MOV file in iTunes.

I have tried the right click and explore thing and I still can't see the songs on my PC. I would like to rip this CD into my digital library. I do that with all of my CD's. Anyone have any ideas?

I got the cd ripped to Win Media Player.
I popped the cd into my drive and the pretty picture of Jimmy popped up When I clicked on the banner to play the video I got a white screen.

I wanna see the video. Any ideas?

Hi, jackiesic. If you use a PC, open Explorer (right click on the START button and select Explore from the menu) and click on the CD drive that has the CD in it (in the left pane). You will see a folder in the right pane (contents of the CD) called "assets." In there you will find the Here We Are movie file. Double-click and go.

copy the .mov file to your hard-drive and download/install the free version of Quicktime?

Thanks. I got that far thru Quicktime opening up and got a pop-up box that says the movie may not play properly because a required compressor is not available. Guess I'll see what vers. of QT I have. IT may be old.

OK, it worked fine the first few times, put the CD in my PC, the screen for Here we Are popped up - first two times it skipped pretty badly but then it started working fine, then the NEXT time I went to watch it again I can't get it to come up no matter what I do. I'm a total tech nerd, have no clue what to do now.
Any suggestions??
