Lyrics that mention Jimmy Buffett

Post by ladyparrothead »

I am looking for songs that mention Jimmy Buffett's name (along with artist) and not just in the title (no Jimmy songs please). Thanks!

I'll start

Jimmy Buffett Doesn't Live in Key West Anymore - David Alan Coe
It's Five O'Clock Somewhere - Alan Jackson
How Forever Feels - Kenny Chesney
Pour Me a Vacation - The Great Divide
Lynn

Life is short, Break the rules, Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly, Love truly, Laugh uncontrollably, and NEVER regret anything that made you smile.

Thursday Afternoon at the Conch House Lounge --- Jim Morris ("The shrimpers yelled out play more Buffett to the man who was playing guitar.")
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

Life is short, live long!!

I'd rather be a wiseass than a dumbass.

Livin' The Life (Jimmy Buffett Only Wrote About)--Brent Burns

And remember, Bob Karwin does "Never Met The Man" although it never does mention Jimmy by name.

Oh and of course, Erik's "Write What You Know". :D

Sammy Hagar mentions Jimmy in Sailing from Livin' It Up!! though you have to know it's coming and be listening closely, as he's almost whispering.

I know Margaritaville is referenced in Blake SHelton's "Some Beach" but I can't remember if he uses JB's name or not.

Boat Drunks have "A Pirate on the Caribbean" which says Jimmy several times, but never Buffett.

"Parrothead Holiday" by Mango,Mango.
"The Original Parrothead" by Kevin Mulvenna (Doesn't mention JB by name, but it's about meeting Jimmy in a dream).
"Buffett Night (Tonight, I'm a Parrothead)" by Paul & Storm.
"Parrothead" by Lee Totten.

The first two are on Thongs in the Key of Life
"Buffett Night..." is on Opening Band
"Parrothead" can be downloaded, I believe, from http://www.leetotten.com
