I already do boycott Burger King. But not because of any questionable financial practices.

I find the food there is terrible. Can't stand it. [smilie=puking.gif]

I would write a very polite but firm letter to the Corporate office explaining the situation and telling them EXACTLY what would satisfy you.
(the $15)

If you still have the receipt, I would include a copy of it with your letter and tell them that they might want to encourage the Manager of that restaurant to pay close attention to that Cashier for further instances of complaints...without making a direct accusation that she pocketed your money.

They discovered that when my wife had made her deposit 2 weeks ago, they had put the money in the wrong account. Somebody else's account.

So they happily transferred the money back to me. But they REFUSED to pay me back the $135 for the bouced checks!!!!!!!!

I had to yell, scream, and throw a temper tantrum before they understood that it was THEIR fault, not mine.

I got my money back.

If anyone had a clue what really goes on, on the teller line???

You'd probably pull your money out of the bank...

Oh the stories I could tell.....

but won't..
I'll second that and add the insurance (escrow) department to it.

I'm honestly amazed that they're still in business- they have a $400 million ad budget and no one in advertising wants to work with them.

But you'll probably need to write to the company franchise owner's corporate office instead of the main HQ.

I have 3 short stories to relate concerning drive up windows.

1st. When I was about 22 or 23 I went through the drive up window at my bank and got some cash. I pulled out and realized that the cashier had given me too much money, two tens stuck together. I, being basically honest pulled around and went back to the window and told her that she had given me too much money. She insisted (somewhat rudely) that she didn't make mistake and there wasn't anyway that she could have done that. I said okay and left. I figured if she was so perfect then she could explain to her boss why she was off $10.00.

She called the next day and asked if I would give the $10.00 back. I said I would when she apologized. She did and so I did.

2nd. When I was a freshman in college, I went to deposit my paycheck into my checking account. The teller asked for ID. A couple of days later, I went in to get some cash and the teller (a different one that I didn't know) cashed my check without question or ID. This happened several times and I finally pulled my account. The manager asked me why I was leaving and I said security. I don't care who puts money into my account but I care who takes it out.

3rd. I did drive thru at a Burger King and order a meal. I pulled around to the window to pay and the cashier tells me the price and it seemed high by a couple of bucks. So I asked her what she showed on the order. She repeated it back to me and that was correct so I asked how she got the price that she did since it was a couple of bucks higher then what it should have been based on the price on the sign at the drive thru. She giggled and said that the price on the sign was old and that this was the actual price. I told her that I either was getting my order at the price advertised or I was leaving and filling a complaint with the BBB and whoever else I could think of for false advertising. She got the manager who told me that either I pay or that he would call the police since I had ordered it and therefore I had to pay for it. I told him to go ahead and call the police since the sign at the drive up had one price and they were charging another at the window. He said fine that he would call them. He then asked me to pull around and park my car. I said "No, I'm not moving until this is resolved." He finally caved in.

My family had an employee, who without our knowledge was skimming cash out of the cash register. She would bsically pretend to take readings througout the day, however in reality, she was clearing the register out very early on....and taking that amount of money. ( we have an old register with register tape)On a very busy day, we wouldn't miss $200 -300. And it would have been easy for her to also over charge cusomer say $1 per order without them knowing it and taking that as well.....theres know telling how much she took over the years...
