Interview with Fingers Taylor

Post by phjim »

The Biloxi Sun Herald has a nice interview with Greg "Fingers" Taylor "Chance meeting makes for chance of a lifetime"
<em>
And your background with Buffett?

"Buffett called me into Nashville (about 1975) when he got his recording contract with ABC Dunhill, and I started making albums with him back then. I think we ended up making about 30 or 35 albums....The brand new one should be out any day now. I got to work on that again. I left him, I was gone between 2001 up until recently. <b>And I played with him 2 or 3 times on his tour this year. I'm going to Vegas here in about a week, probably play with him at the MGM. So we're kind of getting it back together. We took a little hiatus from each other."</b></em>

I told ya'll he would be back for good. Count on Fingers being a staple in next year's tour.

Of course Fingers will be in Vegas! He's playing the Last Man Standing Party for the Las Vegas Parrothead Club on Friday, October 20th!

BTW....if anyone still wants to attend and hasn't signed up yet, you can still do so! The price is the same....you just don't get the free t-shirt that all those who pre-registered will receive.

See all the details on the club website..... www.lvphc.net

Wahoooo.....just one week to go!!!!! :D :D :D :D

Interesting...the Finger's quote on how he teamed up with Jimmy is almost verbatim from the "Time after Island Time" interview.

Either it was 'borrowed' or it's one of Fingers' "Just press play" stories, honed by years of retellling.
A most mysterious calling harbour
So far, but yet, so near
Where I see the day
When my hair's full gray
and I finally...disappear. BUT NOT YET!!
