Just talked to Surfer Girl, she made it from Dallas to Albuquerque last night and stayed with a friend .
She is currently in Arizona.

Enjoying the sights and the CD's we made for her.
All is going well so far.

I'm sure she won't have internet access for awhile after she arrives in California, so I intend to print this thread and send it to her.

Keep the positive thoughts comming for safe passage.

Surfer Girl arrived at her destination in California safely.
She stated that she saw some beautiful scenery along the way, but ran into a big rainstorm when she entered southern California.

She is now unpacking at her new apartment.

This morning my daughter, a BN lurker and Hoot Islander, Surfer Girl set out on a road trip from Dallas, TX to Monterey, CA by herself to return to her Navy husband.

It's a long trip but with all our support and good will along the way I have faith that she will arrive safely.

She intends to take it slow and arrive on Monday. So if you could all hold her in your arms for the next few days, I would sincerely appreciate it.

Hey Everyone, I made it out here. Thanks for all the well wishes. We are currently hanging out in the Rec. Center to use the net for a while (and play some video games... the apartment is very empty). We are still waiting on our furniture... but HOPEFULLY this week.. I'm very tired of sleeping on the floor. But that's what we broke newly weds do right? I hope that all is well in your particular harbour.
