Back from the Haitian Outback

Post by haititxn »

Howdy (Bonjou Y'all)

Well I finally made it back. We had a great time out in the Jungle of Haiti. We flew directly to the town of Jeremie and then drove 2 hours down the coast to the little fishing village of Abricot.

We were able to install lights and electricity to be used with a generator coming hopefully in January. We builts 10 church benches, had a few services and meetings ( such as a ladies tea, and childrens meeting) and visited a church at the end of a very muddy road up in the mountains.

Some people here asked me to post a few pics. I'm not sure how many I am allowed but I'll put a few up and if it is too many, let me know.

Again, sorry if I have put up too many pics. Let me know as I don't want to overstep any rules here.

Great to be back home!

Wow! What memories. Loved the photos!
Gentilly ... 42 years is a long time to wait .... a Northeast Texas woman can hope.
My love is an anchor tied to you, tied with a silver chain.

Great work!! The pictures are wonderful! It's amazing how people who have so little always dress in their "best" and look so happy ... we saw the same with the people we worked with in Cuba last March.

Glad to hear you're safe and sound and that all went well.
'Cause I want to be there, I want to go back down and lie beside the sea there ...
