Damn, that eliminates at least 25 "THE END IS NEAR!!" BN threads over the winter and early spring... :P
Wanna bet?

And if he's not retiring there's still hope for reaching my goal of 100 Buffett shows.

yes, yes....and she asked him the last time he was falling down drunk, and he said he never falls down nor throws up, but last time he was drunk was after the MSG concert.....ah, would that I could have joined him....but i was already crippled anyhow.... [smilie=battingeyes.gif] He says he's getting old for that stuff, I think

He also said that when Matt Benton sent him the title of Breath In, it helped him calm down about the disaster, and that he's trying to do what he can in his small way to help. He spoke of how he felt at the time and he said it was hard to do the Wrigley Concert knowing what was going on in NO, but that he has learned over the years that when people pay their money and are counting on a concert, the show simply must go on...

more is coming back to me....good thing we'll be able to download it

Oh, and thanks for the wonderful post P&T!!
i just followed the link given in BN, then found i had to join something (free) but it would only take Chicago area zipcodes, so i 'created' one...

  [smilie=battingeyes.gif]
Thats odd. They advertise on the station the you can listen in anywhere in the world. Good thinking on "creating" yor zipcode

Kiss Country 99.9 - I think that is what it's called. I was only there because my wife was in the car and told me about it. Was just a few minutes plugging the new album, Krispy Kreme, etc. and then the station played Bama Breeze.

This is the station I caught it on. It seems like it was one of those promo events where the radio stations got a couple minutes to do the interview.

The best part he mentioned us on the 99.9 KISS one. The were talking about the Wife Swap show looking for Parrothead families. Jimmy said he had not heard about it, then said something to the affect that it will be all over Buffet News. He actually called us BuffettNews.org, but thats ok!

I went to their web site to see if they had the interview, but they did not.

And didn't he say something like "Every show was going to be devoted to an album" at the first show this year?

(Moral of the story.... don't believe EVERYTHING he tells ya :D )

You're right!! You're right!! [smilie=lol2.gif] [smilie=lol2.gif]

...but he really means this!! As long as he's healthy, I have no doubt he will do some kind of regular concerts....he NEEDS audience response, needs us as much as we need him
