Not that it matters at all - it's never going to come out. It's been this long, why even bother? HA HA!
CAUSE THERE IS NO CHINESE DEMOCRACY! IT'S JUST CRAP!
etc...
Funny, cause they already have leaked tracks over the internet.

It isn't, but this section of the forums really has become
OTHER artists, not
RELATED artists.

Just sayin'. The thread would just be in the Off Topic section otherwise....

I hear ya. I don't browse this section too often but i saw this in the "Latest Post" column. And even with a "100,000 degrees of seperation" I could not see a connection between them and Jimmy Buffet. It would be like comparing Mozart to Flava Flav.

WHEW!! Than all is right with the world again. I can rest easy knowing that JB and GNR are in no way, shape or form related. Thank you for putting my mind at rest.

Both Axl Rose and Jimmy Buffett have been rumored to own land in Lake Geneva, WI.
(In Axl's case, it used to be true. Jimmy never did)

Just because songs have been leaked - Geffen Records said that the album would come out on one of the Tuesdays before the end of the year (I think it was said in October) and once again, NOTHING happened.
So leaky songs or not - there is no Chinese Crapocity. It's all just hype for nothing! Geffen's spent, it's been said, $13million on the recording of some GNR album. Why do you think Axl's been on tour? He's not promoting anything, he's attempting to make money to pay the label back. It's just a loan from a band essentially. Axl's most likely in debt.

I sorta get the jist of what you're saying but "real" rock bands don' t take a near constant crap on their fans like G n' R have over the years. To my way of thinking, being late, causing riots, working on an album for 10+ years, etc. aren't exactly admirable qualities.

Appetite For Destruction is, without argument, the greatest rock and roll album ever created. Other bands have been better over more albums (a lot better) but that debut album was beyond perfect. I don't even listen to hard rock that much but there is no denying an artist that creates something so flawless. The production values for the time and even today are incredible. The artwork screams rock and roll! The songs are all brilliant. Wow. I need to dust this off first thing in the morning.....
GnR, like JB, makes me thankful for music in the world so I definitely see them as related artists. Plus neither of them would marry Renee Zellweger.

Axl wishes it was. The same sort of hyperbolic praise is being heaped on the 10 years in the making
Chinese Democracy and it's not even been released yet. One might say
Appetite is one of the better debut albums ever except they released
Live Like A Suicide first but "the greatest rock and roll album ever created"? Not by a long shot.

Appetite is indeed a great album. I dunno if it's the best. But it's certainly up there. It's almost as good as The Cult's Electric.
I've got another version of, I'm guessing it is anyway, of Live Like A Suicide. I've also got some bootlegs of Axl working on November Rain and the sad thing is as bad as the demos are the Illusion version should be buried 6 feet down in the ground. It's terrible.
