I heard from a reliable source that employees know a few months in advance when Jimmy is scheduled to play at Margaritaville. If they tell anyone of the date, that is grounds for immediate termination. I can see why they always said "We only know a few minutes before he arrives." That must be a special script they are all told to say if anyone asks when Jimmy will be performing.

I don't think Jimmy knows where he'll be a few months in advance.

It's not Margaritaville, but I did work for CIP. If it's the same, it's simply not true. Only time they knew in advance was if it was a charity event at the opening of a new restaurant, and that was usually only settled a week or two out.
