i was thinking it would be cool to switch the lyrics with everybodys on the phone to everybody's on the run.

This is why EVERY artist's songs "all sound the same" to non-fans. That goes from Jimmy Buffett to Barry Manilow to ZZ Top.

John Fogerty was sued for plagiarizing himself in 1985, when the owners of the CCR catalog claimed John's solo hit "The Old Man Down The Road" was a rewrite of CCR's "Run Through The Jungle".

Fogerty represented himself, and won the case essentially arguing it was not his fault that he sounds like himself.

I always thought "W.D.W.G.D.A.S." and "Tonight I Just Need My Guitar" sound very similar.

it was a great story, and somewhere out there are some attorneys that racked up a good offering to the God of Billable Hours for something that should never have gotten off the ground.
