I have had much better luck getting tickets outside of Michigan. Chicago or Wisconsin are usually easier.
Since Jimmy comes here so infrequently tickets to a Michigan show are really tough to get. I got lucky this year and someone posted on here that they had tickets they had to give up and they were from my home town. I met them and purchased the tickets. Otherwise I would have had to go through a scalper.
Good luck! I hope Jimmy comes back and that you get tickets. Otherwise, see ya in Chicago!

???? He said CASH takes longer??? All I can say is you were at the wrong TM outlet and about 24 hours too late at that. It's actually CHARGE transactions that SLOW the process down, since the transaction can't be declared complete by the system until the credit card clears. You want everyone in line in front of you paying CASH. The TM locations I've gone to the past several years (also for Nissan tickets) will pull the tickets for the first 10 or so people in line as soon as the system hits 10:00am and as fast as they can pull them (they've already polled the first 10 people as to what they want). They'll continue to pull tickets as fast as possible until the system says "sold out" (usually a matter of minutes).
This past year I needed 8 tix but only managed to get 6 online through TM when they went onsale that morning. Fortunately, I had internet access at work and kept trying occasionally throughout the day. Around 6pm I suddenly pulled up 2 more tix. I know at least 2 or 3 more people were able to get lawn seats this way that night. I did see pavillion available the weekend before the show, but none were very close. I've never failed to get tix online with high speed internet, but if possible I try to have a friend online as well at the same time they go onsale as a backup plan. But this year taught me that it doesen't hurt to keep checking back on that first onsale day, people whose credit cards didn't clear for whatever reason will lose their tix and they will be returned to the pool later that day.
...someplace farther south, where the water's warm, the drink's are cold, and I don't know the names of the players...

I'm so sorry about Kevin. It will happen for you. Just be persistent!
Here's another way...
Listen to radio stations. I have developed this into an art form... (Sorry Jimmy) - but if you can't afford them sometimes - you just can't and it PAYS TO LISTEN!!!!!!!!!
I have been to about 15 shows.... I listened to radio stations - they either give a ton away - or they have contests at the bars they are out at some nights. I won tickets about 5 times.... Don's Lastresort - had a sing-off (sponsored by Red Stripe)... WRMF West Palm - had to call in and do a trivia contest with two other callers - I answered until the other two got one wrong. I won a pair once just bc I called the radio station and ASKED if they would be giving any away and the guy gave me a pair (once again - LOVE WRMF!!) ANd the latest of course .... Great Woods - Radio margaritaville contest... keep your ears open.... and go to Phlockings - ticket exchange - many people buy 6 and then don't need all 6... Good Luck!!!! If there is a will - there is a way!!
