Stupid Question - How long is a concert?

I know I should know this but if Jimmy's concert (in this case Las Vegas 10/28) starts at 8pm about what time will it be over, encores et all?
I am asking this since I may book a midnight flight and want to make sure I can make it.
I know I can leave whenever I like but since I'm taking the trouble to fly in and out the same day I'd like to see the whole show.

Last time we went to his concert in Vegas, we had to catch our shuttle to our hotel at 11 right outside MGM. If we missed it we had to try to find a cab. We had to leave during the first encore. You would probably be pushing it.

Since they don't normally start right at 8:00, I think they normally go to a little after 11:00...
You could peruse the last pages of some of the setlist threads to get a pretty good gauge.

I checked both of last year's Vegas shows, and they both seemed to end about 10:50pm... add many (20?) minutes to get out of the venue to the street, and then travel to airport, and at least an hour early arrival to airport - outgoing flight could be 1am or later?? (Just a guess)

My first answer would be "not long enough!"
They seem to usually end just before 11 which I would think would rule out a midnight flight, unless it's aboard Jimmy's plane

The Atlanta show was a good 2 hours and 15 minutes, maybe 2 hours 30 minutes and there wasn't an intermission. If the Vegas show has the intermission, you have to figure that it will be a 2:45 to 3:00 show.
Even if the Vegas show were to start right at 8:00, by the time you get out of the venue and get to the airport, I doubt you would have time to get through security and to the gate in time to make a midnight flight.

Even then, you'd be hard pressed. His plane didn't leave until 2am last time... sans Jimmy.

From the setlist archives...Hot Hot Hot began at 11:13 ET.
That was 8:13 in Vegas!
The show ended approximately 1:45 with Lovely Cruise being cut short by RM messing up.
So that was about 10:45 Vegas time and YOU can't make it with the new regulations for checking in early...or is that NOT really what happens?
Don't ya think you would have to be there at 10:30...so you could stay until 9:45??
Get a later flight!!

I'd love a 2am flight but the last flight is at 11:59pm and the next flight is a 6am. That 6am flight is $100 more than the 11:59!

But think of how much more it will be when you miss the midnight flight (coming from someone who has done that before).

If I had ever been to Vegas...
I paid $300 more last time for a 9am flight as opposed to a 6am or noon flight. Oh the joys of east bound flights.

His concerts are never long enough......
My experience with LAS are wait times. Chances are you will take off late.....but chances are you still board on time. Sitting on the run way is quite normal for there.
Best of luck...........from past experiences...........they don't let intoxicated poeple on flights.............counts me out!!

count on 45 minutes.. just to get a cab out.. and count on 20 minutes to get to the Cab stand..

Plan on the show being over around 11pm. You will need 15 minutes to get from the arena to the cab stand. Then you will need 20 minutes to get in the cab. 15 minutes for the cab to get you to the airport. 90 minutes to check in and clear security. So the earliest you will be able to depart is about 2:20am. I can cut a few minutes off of this by skipping the restroom on the way out of the arena and by using a town car instead of a cab (thanks
Spikey@yahoo.com). There isn't a line for town cars and limos. Of course that does cut into the savings of the late flight since it will run you about $75.00 vs. $15.00. The rest stands as a reasonable schedule given how bad the Las Vegas airport is about getting people through security on a Saturday night. Southwest maintains a 90 minute check in rule in Las Vegas because it is so bad.

It will so be worth the $100, if you're going to be there such a short time anyway! don't worry about a hotel of course, just hang out on the strip & head to the airport around 4......
