In the early morning of Monday Oct 16th Officer Michael Briggs was fatally shot responding to a domestic violence call. I just sat and watched the memorial service for him.....and thought about all the fallen officers before him, and pray for all those officers that take the oath to protect each and everyone one of us. Ironically, he was shot by someone that he saved his life a few years back.
Here is the article from our local news
http://www.wmur.com/news/10127912/detail.html
Godspeed Officer Briggs, you were truly a hero....and may God Bless your wife, children and family
"May the road rise to meet you
May the wind be always at your back
May the sun shine warm upon your face
The rains fall soft upon your fields
And until we meet again
May God hold you In the palm of His hand"

Sail on...Officer Briggs.
I spent my entire professional career working in domestic violence.
It's unpredictible and very dangerous.
The Lord will hold a special place for this man.
Some people never find it, some only pretend
But me, I just want to live happily ever after every now and then.

I just wanted to let you all know that I posted this link on a discussion page that is going to be given to his family. I wanted them to know that people from all over the country were praying for him.
Thanks for your prayers and thoughts

Rest in Peace Officer Briggs. Our prayers are for your
family, but we also want to celebrate your life.
You made such a difference in your life's work that your
gifts to society far outweigh this tragic act of evil.
