i'd love to see some folks come up with more current bands. Some of the bands we've listed were popular in their time but that passed and they just didn't stay popular. Who are some good younger, under 50 hehe groups, who haven't been around that long, are talented, but just aren't that huge.

I think the reason more recent bands arent mentioned is because they are constantly crammed down our throats. DMB was the next big thing, then it was Snow Patrol is the next U2, then Keane is best band ever, blah blah blah. They need to let bands get a body of work out before decide anything. IMHO the Counting Crows, Cheap Trick, Collective Soul and Five for Fighting are very underrated.

Fred Eaglesmith.

Saw him Wed night in a small bar about 65 miles away. Only 40 people maybe. Sad. Incredible show and the guys been touring constantly for like 25 years.

Do yourself a favor and pick up a CD or two (itunes or his site)

great guy.

It's really because the record company is done with most bands after their 1st CD, a hit or not. use them and leave them. I know several people like this.
