Imus played Bama Breeze this morning

Post by PA PAR8 HED »

I caught part of the Imus show on the radio this morning. After the interview with Phil Simms he played the intro to Bama Breeze and said "Here is the #1 country album, I like this song, I like Jimmy Buffett". Then he let the song play for a little while and made a parrothead comment before he went to his first commercial.

HOLY CRAP, Imus is still alive?

When my 10yr old was a newborn I was up almost every morning EARLY enough to catch most of Imus in the Morning on MSNBC.

OK now I'm feeling old...old....old...

I listened to him so long ago, I think it was in another life! :-?
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Pinot Noir in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming "WOO HOO"

I've seen him, just don't "get" him. NYC cowboy  , looks like he's chewing his cud all the time [smilie=huh-ani.gif]
The "humor" segments (Dr. Phil impersonator, etc.) are something I'd expect from small-town local radio.

I watch Imus sometimes in the morning. He's ok but a bit pompous.
He has had Kinky( candidate for Governor of Texas) on his show. And he is supporting Kinky - just as Jimmy did the benefit for Kinky last month.
Hey - why not Kinky - Texas had a guy named George Bush as governor.
So I guess the moral is Texas will elect people with no qualifications whatsoever . Anyway, there is a Jimmy- Imus -Kinky connection!

Image Ya know there's alot of TEXANS on this forum...(and the Bush's consider MAINE their other HOME).

The implications of your comment seem over generalized.
(I wonder what your implying about Jimmy? :o )

I was simply giving some background on Imus - Kinky - Jimmy.

It's no secret that Jimmy has never supported GW and in fact, has openly campaigned for Many Democrats and Independents over the past 2 decades.
As for all the Texans on this forum - no harm meant. If the good people of Texas want to vote for GW for their governor - go ahead - and they did.

If you lived in Maine, you would realize that most Mainers do not consider the Bush family as one of their own and in fact, did not vote for him in the past 2 presidential elections.

Anyway Jimmy and Willie and I all say " Go Kinky "

Cardinal Egan was hysterical this morning. And Dr. Phil, "Everyone look under you chairs, you get your own African-American baby to take home."

I don't know how they get away with this stuff. :o
