"We'll Always Have Parrots"

Post by TheSecretsInTheCrust »

Just a thought on the video played during the intermission last night in Chula Vista. I thought it was so friggin funny that I had tears in my eyes. But then I list Casablanca as one of my all-time favorite movies. For those of you that did not hear about it. The clip was a take off on the movie and Jimmy recent run in with the law. All the footage was direct from the movie..some slightly enhanced, but the dialog was dubbed. SO DAMN FUNNY!

My favorite live...as Boggy looks into Bacall's eyes and says...."remember, We'll always have parrots."

That's what he said at the end of the show, and I didn't understand... sounds great!

Boggy shot very german looking cousin Harry....He was a member of the evil organization "the league of..." and my alcohol consumpions has kept me from remembering the rest of the title. The bad guys were out to get "cousin Jimmy" to wear a tie and get a job. Just so funny

Probably "Bogie & Bacall"...but I'd love to see the graphic depicting the scene.... "We'll Always Have Parrots" Image

This was a NEW classic!

It was a fully-dubbed 5+ minute video that sampled a lot of the great scenes
between Bogey and Ingrid Bergman, and also those with Claude Rains.

Glenn was right, it was hilarious!
I hope it finds its way onto YouTube real soon, so ALL Parrotheads can enjoy the satire! 8)

Just got home from San Diego...............I concur! That video WAS really funny! Casablanca is one of my favorite all time flicks (Humphrey rocks!) I'm usually crying at the end there when Ingrid's getting on the plane but this time it was because it was so hysterically funny! Yes, we will always have parrots!!!

Yes this was definately funny...and I'm glad I caught it at Tampa. :D

I wish they would have had subtitles though...the sound wasn't that great so I only got about half of it. :-?

I agree, Q&S, the sound was pretty awful from our location. What I heard sounded pretty cute.

I agree, I was in the back of the pavilion and the sound was terrible.

I wish I could find a copy of it...I know it would make someone VERY happy. :D
