Not you but it's IMPOSSIBLE when you have A S S H O L E S that use your name and statements to change to their own stupid political statements. IF some people would READ they'd realize some of us do not like BUSH and the Republicans as much as we do not like KERRY and the horrible Democrats. But at least Bush hasn't been on the record bashing the military since 1970 something!

hmmm... wonder how THEY interpreted John Kerry's remarks?

(And IMHO, they're the ones that matter.)

ditto

I do find it interesting how comments by Clinton and Kerry keep coming up for discussion in this election season.

Both these men are newsmakers, but neither one is much responsible for the quality of government during the last six years of Republican rule.

I think Kerry's comments have been given more media play and interpretation than they otherwise would warrant, because the Republicans know they're in trouble and are desperate for some political traction heading into the midterms.

Why else would both Cheney and Bush imply that a vote for the Democrats means "the terrorists win"? Those comments were calculated to spread fear among American voters. Don't these guys know any other way to try to win an election? Apparently not.
Because it's true. If the Dems were in power, they'd have us leaving Iraq - leaving a big power vacum in the middle east and nothing but terrorists to fill it.

Sounds like a win for the terrorists to me.

I love politics on BN. Watching the blind sheep from both sides of the aisle regurgitating the soundbites of their chosen idols results in a mixture of hilarity and pity usually only obtained while watching the Special Olympics.

Please chill out Rick. I think you're taking your anger out on the wrong people, and your being rude to ejr certainly isn't merited in this case.

From the LA Times, among other places...
Six days before the election, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee said he sincerely regretted his words were "misinterpreted to imply anything negative about those in uniform."

Nice....he sincerely regrets his WORDS were MISINTERPRETED. He doesn't regret saying them...he regrets that we, the listeners, heard him wrong. He's putting the blame on everyone but himself.

Seems to me ol Kerry needs a lesson in semantics....and in accepting responsibility. If he really wants to be sincere he just needs to say, "I'm sorry, I f'd up," and be done with it.

Was it his intent to slam the military? Who knows...but the point is that he did so and instead of pointing fingers and blaming everyone else, he needs to s u c k it up and admit he screwed up.

I was referring to you "shouting" "I really don't care" in response to ejr. I realize who upset you and why... just asking you to breathe in, breathe out, move on... :)

And get back to a little more civil tone once again.
