On Monday, Kerry belittled the educational level of US troops, when he said to the assembled students: “You know education, if you make the most of it, you study hard, you do your homework, and you make an effort to be smart, you can do well. If you don’t, you get stuck in Iraq.”

Nice way to show your support for the troops.

He was refering to the people who put the troops into Iraq, not the trrops themselves!

I'm surprised the entire audience wasn't asleep, as dry as he is....

Kerry, a decorated Vietnam veteran and President Bush's 2004 rival, fired back.

He said he had been criticizing Bush, not the "heroes serving in Iraq," and said the president and his administration are the ones who owe U.S. troops an apology because they "misled America into war and have given us a Katrina foreign policy that has betrayed our ideals, killed and maimed our soldiers, and widened the terrorist threat instead of defeating it."

"This is the classic GOP playbook," Kerry said in a harshly worded statement. "I'm sick and tired of these despicable Republican attacks that always seem to come from those who never can be found to serve in war, but love to attack those who did. I'm not going to be lectured by a stuffed suit White House mouthpiece standing behind a podium."

Sorry dude - I watched the video. He was referring to those who have enlisted... not much respect there for our men and women in uniform.

The supposed Bush thing only came a day later when he realized how bad he stepped in it. :-?

I'm extremely embarassed Kerry was all the Democrats could offer for a Presidential candidate in the last election....

God Forbid they'd actually drag the bottom of the barrel this next time...and offer up Hillary...

Kerry is lying through his teeth, I've seen it repeated several times...he meant what he said and if meant anything else, he should chose his words more carefully.

Kerry's a dumb ass and always has been. [smilie=shake.gif]

What do you expect from a loser like Kerry that lied about and protested the war, turned his back on fellow soldiers and is basically the scum of the earth?

They are all despicable sh!tballs that are constantly lying and are only driven by greed. Our politicians have drifted so far from what our founding fathers had set up for us. Both parties are a disgrace and for us, Americans, to actually pick sides and argue who is lying less is an embarassment. Unfortunatly, money controls all in this great country and those who could actually serve our people for the better will never get a chance. Neither side gives a sh!t about the working people. Their only interest is to better serve corporations and in return recieve bigger kickbacks. We are all being screwed, and it really sucks that we are stuck voting for the canidate that will at least screw us, hopefully, with more lube than the last guy. And for those who will respond, if you don't like it move - you aren't making things any better by trying to silence opinions. You are just accpeting things for what they are. I won't move because I love this country and am still optimistic that someone will come along and change things. But for us to waste time and argue which a$$hole is bigger is not an answer. We need to have a third party canidate. Someone who isn't recieving all their campaign money from corporations. Someone that is actually listening to the American voice. So, if anyone has any idea who that person is, let me know. I will gladly vote for him or her. I have voted in the past two elections for Nadar. Not because I thought he would win, but because they wouldn't allow him in the debates unless he recieved at least 4% of the vote, which he fell just shy of. We need more options. Sorry for this long winded response, but I can't stand turning on the news and only hearing about some lame ass bickering about who said what. And then logging on to this to hear the same crap. There are way more important issues at hand. For one, and I think one of the most important that is constantly being overlooked, is the state of our education system. We are losing teachers at an astounding rate because they no longer make a liviable wage. Without good educators our great country will stumble.

Dear Sen Kerry

I'm a voter from Massachusetts

I'm also one of those idiots that found himself in Iraq.

You see I'm in the Army Reserve as a 38B - Civil Affairs Specialist in case you weren't sure what that was and I doubt you did

I'll tell you this plainly sir, and I only use that out of respect for your office and not you yourself - you can go FCUK yourself

Sincerely

SGT Hooray Beer
