I need help fixing a sign :(

Well.... here I sit on the eve of leaving for MOTM with broken glass..... The neon sign I ordered came broken ... :cry: just a little but I think its enough to ruin the neon gas....

I have emailed the seller... hope he insured it.. but it came from Canada and a private seller and he hasnt answered my emails :evil: I'll go the ebay / paypal route to try to get my money back.. but I REALLY want this sign....

So the question is... can it be fixed? Where would one take it to be fixed? Will it cost a fortune? Bla Bla Bla....

Here are some pics... the way its supposed to look and the way I received it.... Any help you can offer is appreciated!

Chances are with that damage more of it has leaks which will either not light up or blink rather badly.

I have a neon sign that I wanted to get fixed and was told that it would cost more to fix than buy a new one.

It should be fixable. I've had a neon sign fixed, and it wasn't crazy expensive. Check the phone book for a sign place - some of them have the equipment to bend glass tubes and create custom neon stuff. Those are the guys you need.

My dad bought one that came broken a few months back and they refunded the entire amount and didn't even bother with asking to have the sign shipped back... so we got a free broken sign :lol:

But we have had others fixed... it isn't too terribly crazily expensive to get it fixed

The seller has a good rating (99% and 1475 positives)... but I am worried since my email him game back..... :roll: we'll see... this isnt exactly a sign I can just go buy again.. took me almost 5 years to fnd this one. :wench:

When I get back from MOTM I'll look up a neon place.... I am sure there is someone who can fix it. But keep those suggestions coming! 8)

Just the N is broken...thats the broken glass which of course ended up in my toe :roll:

my brother had the same problem with a Neon Margaritaville sign he ordered for me from ebay...i wonder if its the same seller...took hime almost a year to get his money back...

If the "N" is the only broken part, it seems that would be easy to fix.
Call around and get some estimates, maybe ?
WOW, that sign musta cost a lot.....those things don't come cheap. It'd be worth it to fix it. MOTM-fun will take it off your mind for a while !
