Funny "Anti-Guido" website

Post by job41475 »

Below is a link to a very funny website mocking all things Guido. This will probably make more sense to people in the NY area but it's pretty darn funny....

So true.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

This is truer than true. We had this dude come and work for 2 weeks freelance and he was so guido that no one wanted to associate with him. I guess they all thought his stupidness was contageous. Plus he made a hammer and sickle out of red thumb tacks and posted it on his cube wall.
"Oh all the money that e'er I spent, I spent it in good company.
And all the harm that I ever did, Alas it was to none but me.
And since it falls, unto my lot, that I should rise and you should not
I'll gently rise and I'll softly call, 'Goodnight and Joy be with you all.'"

I think that's classic that his name stuck. The name thing makes sense - for you. I like it.

Yeah my life is so crazy that I don't have time for much, especially cleaning my room. Which reminds me...

we are starting to get guidos here in the summer. They liked to bring girls by the lifeguard stand my one son was working at and show off by trying to start a fight. They must have figured out that guards absolutely are not allowed to swing a fist while in uniform so they were safe. A couple of them pushed it so far they got a ton of stupid expensive tickets. My son was amazed that he couldn't talk them out of getting into trouble. They just wouldn't walk away until the police were called and issued them summons and hauled them off.
One group got tickets because they wanted to play football right in front of the beach blankets of a bunch of older folks.

My neighborhood is very Itlaian and while most are great people , there are a bunch of these boneheads too. I think besides having some truth to it, it's also a very well put together site.

Is it considered racist -- the guido name?

It's a common term here and my friends of Italian Heritage don't consider it one. If someone takes offense to the posting then I of course apologize but I believe most took it in the humorous way it was intended. I just came across the site and found it funny. Looks like most others do to. Again, if someone is offended, my apologies.

No please, get em off LI. Put them in a third world country so they can really see hardship.
