More troops for Iraq . . .

It takes a lot of troops to establish and maintain an empire.
On another note, I am sure that if the Democrats gain control of the House in the week's upcoming mid-terms, the Republicans will find a way to blame the mess in Iraq on them, as a lead-up to the Presidential election.
Post-election, I think this will be the Bush/Rove "secret" plan to deal with sagging Republican fortunes.

The Army's National Guard and Reserve are bracing for possible new and accelerated call-ups -- spurred by high demand for U.S. troops in Iraq -- that leaders caution could undermine the citizen-soldier force as it struggles to rebuild. . . . .
