Where is Shrimp Boat Sound in Key West?
I was recently in Key West and was wondering where the studio is... does anyone know the address?

There's no official website for the Sound but the owner has a small site which can be found here http://www.margaritaville.comCouganata wrote:Do they have a web site, you mentioned you found the pic on the net?

Don't have an address, but it is right by Conch Republic Seafood 631 Greene St, Key West, FL. Here is a link to a Google Satelite image of the area. The water in the image forms a V. Conch Republic is the Building on the bottom left of the V where the boats are sticking out. Shrimpboat Sound is at the Very Bottom on the right at the start of the V.Couganata wrote:I was recently in Key West and was wondering where the studio is... does anyone know the address?

I also saw the building on the Food Channel the other day. Show was On the Road or something like that. They interview the chef from Conch Republic Seafood, and Shimpboat Sound is right in the background.
Probably too much info, but I hope this helps.

Actually if you sit at the outside bar area of the Conch Republic Seafood Company and look away from the restaurant area you can see it right there in front of you, as in the above photo. I have seen many postings on BN when there was recording going on and they were seeing folks come and go. But lets not stalk these fine people.

Cool! So it is at the end of Green St. When I was down there a few weeks ago I parked in the parking lot to the left of Conch Seafood. That is wild that the studio was within an arms length of my convertible. That is cool.
As for stalking these fine people... now I sit "freezin up, north of buffalo" in Canada, "the cool blue north!"

No that wasn't directed at you. I just mentioned it since there is no sign or anything so it seems like they want to keep it low key. I just think it's cool that the studio is right there and it puts an end to all the morons who say he never goes back to Key West.Couganata wrote:Cool! If you check out the MOTM picture thread, Larry's posted a couple of current pictures from last week. Looks like it's had a coat of paint, at least.

hmph. Many words come to mind, several not so complimentary.
But, more power to ya!!! Do you walk by every day on your way to Schooner's Wharf? Is the Western Union still around?

The Western Union is in fact still there, and Schooner Liberty Clipper has moved in next to her, taking the place of Schooner America, which headed out west to California last year.parrotheadedrhino wrote:....i walk by it every day...barefoot gecko wrote:No, the end of the building facing the picture is all cleaned up.
