Only twice, and both were "untreatable" as far as wearing casts were concerned...
Broke my coccyx

while back-flipping (unplanned) off my desert motorcycle... hard time sitting and walking for far too long
Hairline-fractured my inner pelvis while snow-skiing
Bode Miller has nothin' on me when it comes to flying down a hill on one ski!

Just my collarbone when I was in second or third grade and hurt myself while trying to flip on some bars.
One of my friends broke her wrist playing golf though!

He's only two, and
if someone has any experience at all keeping anything on a preschooler immobilized, please let me know. 3 weeks of taping fingers together is going to be pretty nuts!! Fortunately, it wasn't near a growth plate and the little booger doesn't seem bothered by it at all, and beamed at me when he found out it was broken as though the tape and gauze were a badge of honor.
Boys.
Anyway, have you broken many bones?? How old were you?
Share your stories here!!!
duct tape and thorazine...
never broken bones, only a few scars, 5 stitches in my life.

None. I am broken-bone free.
None for the hubby.
None for my son (and he played football(5 yrs.), baseball (since he was 5 and he's now 26), raquetball, basketball, etc)
None for my daughter.
None for my mom and dad.
None for my brother.
OH WAIT !! My mom broke her hip several years ago.
I wouldn't know what it felt like.....and I don't wanna know.

You left out the option of
"My name is Sista Slip N Fall & I have a BN twin"
I'm not going thru all of them until she does!

Um....I think we should just skip this one Sista slip. Might mess up Jim's bandwidth

Um...yeah.
I tried to remember the first one....it was either my nose or collarbone....? Both on Slides...
and there was that falling off a cannon thing when I was 19 that led to many other breaks....
But yeah...you and I need to stay out of this one!

I didn't know I had any broken bones until a couple of years ago. I've always had problems with my left wrist, so I went to the hospital for x-rays and they informed me that I had broken my wrist in several places and the bones had healed wrong/deformed.
They said it more than likely happened when I was small and the break healed quickly before anyone realized it......weird
((((((Tony)))))) lots of hugs heading Tony's way.

I used to go to Mass at lunchtime everyday. One day I got stuck on the phone at work and missed it. I decided to walk to a local restaurant just so I could get out of the office on that gorgeous day. I laughingly told everyone "If I'm not back in an hour come look for me." I got 4 doors away from the restaurant and tripped on the uneven sidewalk. As I propelled through the air I brought my hand up to protect my face. I broke my right pinky and my nose. I laid on a gurney at Mercy Hospital from 1 to 9pm starving. My operations were finished and they sent me home at 2am. NOT a good day.
I fell of a horse and broke a rib. Had a car accident and broke my sternum and a rib.
K enough about me.
