St. Louis Missouri

Post by tin cup scooter »

What is the deal with Jimmy and St. Louis? I heard something happened a while back and the only thing ever mentioned was tailgating. Did they put a stop to it for some reason? He hasn't played here since July of 2000, so I've had to make the trip to Tinley Park since. Not a bad drive, but in the lawn 35,000 people is a FEW too many!!!!!!!!!!!! [smilie=stress.gif]

NICE! I believe it holds around 20,000 and I know he plays venues that hold less than that. So it must be something else about this city.

I saw him in 98 or so at Riverport. Its a nice venue, good tailgaiting . So whats the problem. Hell of a lot better than that dump Ford ampitheater in Tampa. That was the worst concert venue I have been to. Just saw him at Coors in san diego, very nice place.
Hey he owes st. louis, got rid of "the curse" for those crappy red sox and they swept us that year. Now we got our ring so maybe next summer get some Jimmy.

HOW BOUT THOSE REDBIRDS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

interesting logic....

its the only logic I have. Buffett and cardinal baseball are 2 of my biggest loves in life. Its still very hard for me to listen to live at Fenway. Especially "the curse" part. I cry over baseball for Gods sake. Its not true what Tom Hanks said- there IS crying in baseball

Buffett doesn't owe any of us anything.
Some people never find it, some only pretend
But me, I just want to live happily ever after every now and then.

oh my goodness lighten up.... I didnt say he OWES me anything. Good gracious, I love Jimmy as much as the next BNer but geesh. Dont have get defensive at every turn when it comes to Jimmy. Its just a silly post. speaking from a Cardinal fan point of view heck yeah he owes me.. If he wouldnt have played Fenway we couldve won the series in 04. Because Im sure it had nothing to do with how horrible we played.
