For those folks that live in the Wilmington, NC/ Myrtle Beach area, 103.7/93.7 FM the Bone has a Parrothead hour every Saturday afternoon. And the kicker...they actually play songs that do not appear on SYKBH. Today I heard, We are the People, Ringling, Ringling, Biloxi, Incommunicado, and a few cuts off the new album, including the title track. Pretty cool. I thought. It was on at 4pm. I will assume until proven wrong that is the normal time. :pirate:

On Cape Cod there's a radio station Cool 102(101.9) that does the Friday afternoon Buffett Buffet at 5:00 and does 4 of 5 songs and then on Sunday they do the Sunday Buffett Buffet brunch which is another 4 or 5 songs. I've moved to Florida in the last month and miss it but I think I'll survive in the sunshine!!!

I discovered it purely by accident yesterday. But I'm glad that I did. Now Saturdays are for more than just football.

There's an independent station out of Hickory, NC (95.7 The Ride) which serves Charlotte that plays JB often. Heard "Take Another Road" the other day (followed by Jimi Hendrix, how cool!)

12VWOLF, I caught it purely by accident too. We were cruising down the intercoastal at Wrightsville on Saturday, and I was doing the usual scan of the radio stations....... stopped on 103....Everyone's on the phone was playing. I looked at my husband in disbelieve and said "that's Jimmy's new song". He didn't believe me! Finally!!! Jimmy Buffett on Saturday and Beach Music is back on 99.9 on Sundays!! I love it!!

Imus has been using Bama Breeze as a bumper before he goes to commercial. He even has gone out of the way to say what a good album TTWWY is on his show. Nice to see JB recognized on a nationally syndicated radio program.

WLUP used to play a good bit of Buffett. But that's when I was living in Chicago and Fruitcakes came out and Steve Dahl was there. I have no idea now. But I do recall hearing Fruitcakes, EGACIMiami and Sunny Afternoon.

I hear Marg and Come Monday every now and then on the radio somewhere along the Gulf Coast, usually near New Orleans, and I usually turn it off. And one goofy 'classic rock' (I don't consider Motley Crue and Twisted Sister in that category) station, the Bayou, played Cheeseburger one day. I turned that off too.

The Zoo in Mobile plays some different tunes. The last one I heard was two years ago (I don't listen to it that much) and it blew my mind - Pacing The Cage. But I'm sure they play him alot, JB being "from" Mobile.

I don't know if there's a radio station in JB's hometown.

FM radio is irrelevant now. It's all commercials and the same songs over and over. What we need is to be more like ZOO TV, up with the static and the radio - with satellite television you can go anywhere. And satellite radio. But I don't have satellite radio or TV.
