Stranger than what??? I may be strange, but I don't know that I'm stangER
I don't want to be anyones reason NOT to go. Agreed, though, much depends upon the day.
I'll vouch for Michael. He's no stranger.

thanks Mal, it may be your driveway I'm parked in the morning after the show......if I can find it.

Well hell, we'll at least let ya pull into the garage.
Seriously, though, if you need a place to crash on the way up or down, let us know!

Thanks Mal, I'll let you know.
Update on the Belly Up calendar: Sunday, Dec. 17 and Tuesday, the 26th have been filled by something other than Jimmy. Leaving the 18-25 open, with nothing new listed about the Private event set for Friday the 22nd. --that 22nd event is listed with a 9:pm start, whatever it is, not that it couldn't change.

i think a 9pm start is pretty standard for the music acts up there. that's when jimmy took the stage last year.

Trust me, you wouldn't be my wife's reason not to go... she's not a big fan, although she enjoys him more live than on recordings... Plus, we'd have to have someone watch the keets, and whatnot... I guess if/when we know more, we'll have to see.

Hmmm...no stranger than....
I never should have opened this thread....
If the dates are good and don't mess with family stuff...this could be a "go".

Although the <7 day notice for these small shows does make it tough to get reasonable airfare. (I'd suppose it's done to minimize scalping, though....

First, I disagree, this thread has been great, whether any of us make it or not. Expressing your desire and angst about going just means you're human....one that falls under the Parrothead moniker anyway.
Second, I suppose you're planning on flying out for the event, and maybe one more day?? If you can stand to be in Colorado for a couple more days, you could buy the airfare now, just for more days than two.

I was kinda being sarcastic, Hippo.

It's a good thread and the thought of JB doing another such show is fun, regardless of whether I can make it. But it would be a neat experience.

The Buffett world does manage to test that fine line between responsibility and abandon, at times, however.
And I guess we'll just have to wait and see on dates, announcements, flights, etc. I do hope some BNers are able to make the trip...it was fun sharing last year's Belly Up show through Mal's experience.

If it's the same band line up as last year, Peter is still on the road with Stars and Promises until the 21st....

What if this event ended up being on Jimmy's birthday? Would you go if you could?
The Belly Up hosted a show last Dec. 25, Yami Bolo with Yellow Wall Dub Squad. Looks like a reggae act.
I would give it some serious thought....but I'm selfish. Though my kids probably wouldn't care, as long as they got their presents. Of course I have to work the day after Christmas, so that would need to factor in too.
