I went once years ago out of curiosity, that was enough for me

Aside from the visual aspect of the event, it was waaaaaaaay too many people in a small space, and that was about 8 years ago!!!
But hey, you won't know 'till ya go

The web cams are looking very interesting.....
Man, do I love life

Well...it *is* Fantasy Fest weekend, y'know.
Think I may stay home tonight to watch the wildlife...
I've been checking out all the webcams.....good grief those people scare me !!!!!!! At the Hog's Breath raw bar cam, there was a girl sitting there in broad daylight with her boobies just-a-shinin', painted of course, but they sure did wiggle...

GAH !!!!!!!!!!! I had to turn them off, I might have nightmares.
she was giggling a lot?

Did Fantasy Fest once... way too many people... just imagine Saturday night on Duval St. with 80,000 people. More than three quarters of them drunk. Sorry, no thank you, makes a Parrot Head tail Gate look like a Church picnic.

Hmmm.... the weather forecast is gonna require some phin power..... tropical depression out near Haiti, supposed to hit Cuba and turn northeast. Let's hope so....

The proposed path doesn't look good.
But these things can change in a heartbeat

That, I think, answers one of my questions. I've been checking out the webcams and the CROWD is unbelieveable...the sidewalks look jam-packed! I'm assuming that we are not going to have that type of crwod, then?

actually, if it follows that path, MOTM/KW should be okay, but maybe for some rain.

Thanks - I was meaning to look that up.
Looks like "wet and a bit windy Thursday and Friday" is the worst we'd get on that path. But of course, the storm *can* change course.
*I'm* disappointed it doesn't take a more westerly path, so that maybe GA gets some rain.
And I *always* pack some light rain gear when I go to KW. As long as they don't evac the tourists, we'll be fine.

[nods]...I'm not great with large crowds either. But I do think I want to experience it once before I die...preferably before I'm too old to enjoy it at all.

Sort of like Mardi Gras in New Orleans, but safer.

As a friend of mine said "Hey, you'll just be drunker since you'll be spending more time inside the bars!" I have good rain gear so bring it on!

Nope.... I'm packing extra sunscreen, on the theory that we'll need it!
