I"ve just made a new New Years Resolution. I'm going to stop lurking so much this year and get to know this bunch of crazies and get to this party in November!
Of course it helps that it's about 3 degrees outside my window right now!

AllRIGHT !! These people are great in person ! It only takes about 4 seconds for us to warm up, but then LOOK OUT !! Sometimes we get physical...hugs, wedgies, lap dances, kisses, dancin', etc. So much fun. The conversations are great. But you gotta be careful, they have cameras and WILL use them. Then comes the blackmail. 8)

I'd suggest the sooner the better. If you're looking for something other than the Casa or nearby, check out Susie of Key West. She's helped my FF group for the last 5+ years and has always hooked us up with the deals. That and you dont have to worry about places getting their lic yanked, hurricane issues, etc. - www.keywestkey.com

or her # is 305-295-6366 or 1-800-881-7321
Tell her Zoe sent ya (long story!!)

Wow, thanks for all the help. I've been to KW before and I have an idea of where I want to stay (within staggering distance of Duval) I just wanted to know if I need to do it now!

I'll be taking the ferry in from Ft Myers most likely - I hate those small planes, scare the bejeezes out of me - so I need to be within walking distance of there.

Hey fellow MOTM'ers Hope everyone is doing well. We booked at a B&B this year closer to the Schooner Wharf as that is where we seemed to close the night (morning?) out. We too used Suzie at KW. Very helpful in comapring options with your needs.

there are a bunch of good guest-houses on the north end of Duval and the old Seaport area. Granted, it is a bit of a walk over to Schooner Wharf to catch the shuttle, but it isn't that far a walk down to the Casa either using Simonton either.

Thanks again! I'm checking to see if my Ft Myers friends will be in town to schlep me to the ferry, if not I'll probably just take the plane - EEK!
