Wow, the day before the OSU/Mich game, 1v2.
How sad, he was such a part of the history of Mich and this weekends matchup. :(

Oh wow.....what timing. When I was growing up, I think Schembechler was the only out of state college coach whose name I knew. (Grew up in Ohio.)

Not only an outstanding coach, but an interesting personality from the era goneby wherein he told you what he thought about something, not a canned politically correct answer that the coaches of today give (i.e. Lloyd Carr!!)

wow, what a shock. Classy guy that I met one afternoon in South Bend where I lived. They were playing ND and we bumped into one another. Neither of us knew each other until later when I found out who he was through a friend who was like, "WOW@!! do you now who that was?", I said no but he was a nice guy.....

thats my story :wink:
