Casey,
So sorry to hear about this! What a terrible experience! I have to say that I have always been fortunate with my (mostly) ticket selling experiences on BN and also my 1 ticket buying experience....as a whole BN'ers are a really great group of folks and as you have seen, look out for one another. I hope this works out....keep us all posted as to the outcome and best of luck!!!

This is ironic. I'd never heard of Alcoa before this thread and I open Google news today and on the front page is this:

Alcoa shares rise on restructuring plans

SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Alcoa Inc. shares climbed Wednesday, a day after it announced a broad restructuring program that would cut 5% of its workforce and lead to a spin-off of its molded soft-alloy business via a joint venture with Norway's Orkla ASA.

Do it Casey! Call his employer too! Alcoa might not like someone who ripsoff college students, working in their Tax Department!

Although I am a lawyer, this is not legal advice and should not be construed as legal advice.

I find it hard to believe that Mr. Poad would knowingly defraud you. He is a CPA...a licensed profession in the state of PA...and is subject to a code of ethics. Fraud would be a violation and his license could be revoked.

In addition, he holds a senior position at Alcoa, which is a huge company....and he used his company email. Very odd.

And it ain't like he does not have the money to cover it.

I searched the Allegheny Co. court database and found no hits Likewise, I searched and could not locate any property that he owns in Allegheny Co.

I would alert him to this thread. Someone in Mr. Poad's position would not want this type of stuff on the net. In addition, if you chose to file a claim in small claims court or file a suit, I can point you in the right direction.

Thank you all for all the replies and comments. I sent him one final email a couple of days ago.
"It has offically been over three months since I sent
you the Jimmy Buffett tickets and over 2 months since
I have heard from you. I hope you are proud of the
fact that you stole money from a college student.

I trusted you to hold up your end of the verbal deal
we established. I busted my butt to get you those
tickets on time. You don't deserve to continue to call
yourself a Parrothead or to attend Jimmy Buffett
concerts. Please refrain from attending any more shows
because you obviously don't understand the lifestyle
that Jimmy Buffett sings, talks, and writes about.

I have posted a warning on BuffettNews.com about your
actions (or lack there of) because no other Buffett
fan should have to deal with your lack of integrity.

If you decide to send the money ($114) my address will
not change."

I will not be doing small claims court or anything of the such. Im more sad that someone, a Buffett fan, did this. Just the fact that his name and his actions have been on this board and gives fair warning to all the other readers is good enough for me. Just sucks that $114 in collegeland is ALOT of cup o'noodle and pb&j!
