He sold some popcorn with the Cub Scouts a few weeks ago, but nothing like this. He was really excited about helping the sick kids with this. I'm not kidding when I say he was talking about this for a month before it happened.
On our next road trip east I think we're detouring up to Memphis so he can see the hospital and maybe meet some of the children.

Thanks again to everyone who pitched in to help with this!

We're still waiting on the final results, but it looks like Cameron raised more money than anyone else in the entire school, including 7th and 8th grade! I'll post the final total they raised when I get them. I know that 3rd grade raised $1,200 by themselves, so the total should be pretty significant.

Is it too late for me to donate? Just getting online, I have been way too busy lately so I missed the start of this.

He turned in his packet a couple of weeks ago, but the website is still accepting donations;

I received an anonymous donation last week, so the total is at $792 now!!!

In other news I found out that St Jude doesn't offer tours to children under 16, so we won't be visiting there too soon after all...

Since you can't tour St Jude until you're 16, I took Cameron to my mom's chemo appointment while we were in SC last week. He got to meet the staff and some other patients, and he got to see the treatment process first hand.

Everyone was really impressed when he told them how much money he raised. Thanks again!

It's official - Cameron raised the most money out of the entire school, Kindergarten through 8th grade! The school is making an announcement next week, but his teacher told him about it today.

I haven't talked to him yet, but Mrs. Play says that he is very excited about it.

Thanks again! [smilie=coolup.gif]
