Passport soon to be required.

Post by CrznDnUS1 »

I just heard a snippet of this on the news this morning so thought I pass it on. Starting new years US citizens traveling by air will need to show a passport to re-enter the US from abroad. I think it’s time to apply for a new passport.

While this hasn't been a "requirement" until now, I can tell you it is very difficult to travel without it now. I haven't been to Canada recently so I can only comment on Mexico and the Caribbean.

Yes, you do not NEED a passport. However, without a passport you need your birth certificate or a notarized copy of it. You also get to stand in a special line and wait longer than normal.

I think this requirement will be beneficial.

I agree, 'cause I hate being stuck behind the tards at the Cancun airport who didn't have passports. :x We even got them for the kids and it was MUCH easier.

In Europe people carry their passports like we carry drivers licenses...

A American passport is the most coveted document you will own.... every US citizen should have one IMO

Quietly but systematically, the Bush Administration is advancing the plan to build a huge NAFTA Super Highway, four football-fields-wide, through the heart of the U.S. along Interstate 35, from the Mexican border at Laredo, Tex., to the Canadian border north of Duluth, Minn.

Does this include Margaritaville too? cuz Jimmy said "no passport required" so based on that I should be able to go there without a hassle and if I can't, can I sue him for false advertisement?

Which is why you should carry a Conch Republic Passport (not the diplomat version...the whole point of the Passport is to save your life if some wacko is looking to kill Americans).
