Ok time to clear something up. The partner that called me with the news had it wrong. We lost our "Filly" not Big Red. (We didn't know this until much later) Which was the one we were
expecting great things from. She is (or was) a full Sister to Big n Jazzy which is the one that we had claimed from us on opening day in 05. Big n Jazzy is still racing and doing damn good in California. Big Red is in training and we hope to race him next year but we are not real sure how he'll do.
Both of my partners were in tears over this. This is exactly the reason I try not to get personally involved with the horses cuz i'm such a baby that if I did this might have just killed me.

I apologize in advance if I offend anyone, but I have to admit when I first read the headline, my first thought was, "Oh crap, who did I p#%* off now?!" 
I truly am sorry for your loss and I really do apologize if anyone thinks I'm trying to make light of a sad situation.
