Here is a screenshot of
Filezilla version 3.1.2.
You need to enter the host,
buffett.jokelben.us in the Host field. Then enter the email,
buffett@jokelben.us in the Username field. Next, enter
buffett in the Password field. Click the Quickconnect button. You should not have to enter a port number, even if you are behind a firewall. Note: for the hostname, do not enter the "ftp://" part of the host address.
Once connected, your window should look similar to the image above. Your local PC folders are on the left. The remote FTP folders are on the right. On your PC folders (on the left), navigate to the folder you want to download the files into. On the Remote Site, just double click on the files you want to download. You can probably select multiple files, which should download sequentially to your PC. For the screenshot, I just selected one file, Cowboy In The Jungle.
At the bottom of the window, you will see the progress of your file downloads.
When you are done, Click on Server > Disconnect (or press Ctrl + D).
Hope this helps...
EDIT: Resized image.
EDIT: Moved image to different server.

I have these discs and songs.
They were from a 5 disc collection called "The Treasure Box"
Of course having looked at my collection, I seem to be missing a few songs from disc 5 but I definitely have the first 4 discs.
I am willing to trade actual discs that I will burn myself if anyone can offer me a way to get some older concerts.
(PLEASE SEE MY POSTING:
viewtopic.php?t=71769 )
ukefan wrote:I know this may be a long shot, but I am looking for Older Concert Recordings.
I got so excited when I finally tracked down some old recordings only to find that they had been corrupted.
I know there are recordings of:
03-13-1974 - The Exit Inn - Nashville, TN
09-03-1975 - The Back Door - San Diego
09-10-1975 - The Boarding House - San Francisco
And probably many others.
I tracked down a recording of the Boarding house but found that what I though was just a bad recording is actually a bad editing job.
I have heard clearer recordings that haven't been edited for fade and to eliminate the talking portions of the concert. Personally, I like the banter during his concerts.
I also have a few tracks from the Exit Inn concert in 1974 but would like to hear the entire concert.
I am willing to buy or trade for recordings.
I have recordings of his concerts at the Record Plant in 1974 as well as many more current concerts.

Ok, now I feel like a real dummy. I posted the reply without having read all
TWELVE pages of the thread.
Sorry!
However, my offer still stands and of course so does my request for old concerts.
I do have one question though.
Disc 3 lists 20 songs. However the folder had 21 songs.
What is this one? It starts with him reading a letter of request.

Make the Username
buffett@jokelben.us, which is an email address. You entered the hostname in the username field. I bolded the item above in your post that needs to be changed.

Thank you but that is no good. It is actually the FIRST place I looked.
The posting of those three concerts is incomplete.
The files are corrupted. They look good but when you download them they are only a few seconds long.
Someone else tried to upload additional recordings of the same concert but all I was able to get were Grape-fruit and Little Egypt.
However, if someone were to RE-upload them I would be over the moon.
As I am sure would many other people.
AND while I am on the topic, the 1999.03.04 - Margaritaville Orlando, FL Outdoor Set only has 15 of the 25 songs in the set list.

the 1999.03.04 - Margaritaville Orlando, FL show is broken up into two folders one for the outside show and one for the inside show.

Ok, maybe I am missing something, but I see only two folders on the site for that show. They both have the same 15 tracks.
Calypso -Club Trini
Calaloo -Club Trini
Party Time -Club Trini
The Legend Of Norman Paperman/ Kinja
Gypsies In The Palace
Grapefruit - Juicy Fruit
Come Monday
Boat Drinks
I Will Play For Gumbo
Cheeseburger In Paradise
Brown Eyed Girl
The City
A Pirate Looks At Forty
Margaritaville
Fins
So, by my reckoning, the following tracks are missing from the set:
13 Fruitcakes
14 Stars On The Water
15 Pencil Thin Mustache
16 Havana Daydreamin'
17 Knees Of My Heart
18 Math Suks
19 Changes In Latitudes, Changes In Attitudes
20 Southern Cross
21 Volcano
22 Margaritaville
23 We Are The People Our Parents Warned Us About
24 One Particular Harbour
25 Sea Cruise
Or am I mis-understanding something about how it is set up?

See, I knew I wasn't Crazy!
Ok, Maybe a little.
While I am on the topic:
San Diego, CA (The Back Door) 09-03-75
The Files on the FTP site are corrupted only Grapefruit - Juicy Fruit is there in it's entirety.

John,
You need to use an FTP program to access the site not your browser.
just too lazy i guess to learn all the steps to this FTP

I believe I have all of these rarities (pretty sure anyway) except for "Stories From My Favorite Books" from disc 5.
Can anybody PM and send the MP3?
I can "pay it forward" and can hook someone else up here with a few of the others.

I know several of you have tried explaining the FTP concept but I just wasn't grasping it until now. I found this thread and Sunlover's screen prints. And by jove I think I have it. I downloaded filezilla and copied the Dallas video. Now to put it on a dvd (or probably two) and play it on my new DVD player that does play homemade DVDs with no problem. Thank you.

There is no need to start a vine for the rarities collection. There are two separate collections on jokelben for easy download. One is a three disc collection called
Odds and Ends and the other is a five disc collection called
Treasure Box. The five disc collection contains all of the tracks on the three disc collection plus other rarities.
If anyone wants track lists for either collection PM me
I also have a two disc mini rarities collection called
The Lost Shaker of Salt that I am planning on uploading sometime this week.
