GPS Review? Magellan 2000

Post by land_shark3 »

Does anyone have the Magellan 2000? I'm thinking about getting this as a gift and was looking for some reviews before the purchase.

I like the sleekness of the TomTom, but the Magellan is only $280.

I have a TOMTOM go300. It's helpful but not infallible. There are times when it doesn't seem to work very well. Sometimes a good map is better.

Just bought the Garmin Nuvi 660 for my Mom for Christmas. MSRP is like $1100, but BJ's had it for $749. It's a pretty sweet unit!

Here is the report done by Consumer Report's back in Aug or Sept for all the GPS units on the market at the time.
