Sure, it could work on certain songs.

And WDWGDAS has a fiddle...and I think I hear one at the start of BIBOMO, too, although I don't see one in the credits.

SharkOnLand wrote:My first thought: Eww.

I think a fiddle would be too much, but I suppose it would depend on the song/arrangement... So I went with "listen first, judge later" :)
No offense, but everytime I think "fiddle" I think "Devil went down to Georgia".... but a friend of mine does a MEAN job on his harmonica!

OK
If Jimmy got a fiddle player, you would think there'd be too much "traffic" up on stage....It will only be a big cluster when SOnny sits in with the band.....Some times have too many guitars on stage causes "traffic" in the jams and in the playing......Having a fiddle in a band adds ALOT.....Maybe one of the guitar boys can play fiddle instead of guitar

Lisa Germano was my favorite reason to see John Mellencamp, back in the Lonesome Jubilee days.

But in the Coral Reefers? I'm just not hearing it.

You sure you're not thinking of the group Evangeline that toured w/ him a long time ago?

Sure, fiddle would work, depends on how good the player is and the song.

And Larry....that picture made me feel a little icky. [smilie=sadtard.gif] Those colors together.... [smilie=puking.gif]

COWBELL....cracks me up every time. I gotta get one. And a drumstick. Wood one, not turkey.

Somehow I knew this question would get your attention.

I'm thinking The Brand New Tennessee Waltz would be a good cover for JB to use fiddle in.
