Stuart Duncan is listed on License to Chill and I think I saw his name on an earlier one before. NOT sure.
Also, does
Jonathan Yudkin sound like a fiddler who played on an album?
I seem to remember that name too. I know he played with Robert Earl Keen, cause I was surprised to see a name other than Bryan Duckworth, REK's friend since 3rd grade.

Quiet and Shy wrote:Sure, it could work on certain songs.
And WDWGDAS has a fiddle...and I think I hear one at the start of BIBOMO, too, although I don't see one in the credits.
I think that's just Fingers' harmonica, unless the bow's not being used and it's being played like a guitar.
I hear Fingers on the harp, Jim Mayer on bass, either Jimmy or Mac on acoustic guitar, and something else, but I don't think it sounds like a violin/fiddle.

I thought the same thing about BIBOMO, Alison!
had to go look, and didn't see it in the credits

Isn't there fiddle on Gypsies in the Palace?
I'm also pretty sure the late great Vassar Clements played fiddle on some Buffett albums.

I'm all for the fiddle. it is a HUGE Cajun instrument. Considering JImmy's roots, I think a nice cajun waltz would fit in nicely on his next album.

The live version on Feeding Frenzy does. I'm not sure about the studio cut. I don't have LMIP, but the sample available on Amazon doesn't have a fiddle. From what little I heard the live version sounds much better.

Does anyone remember who played fiddle for Feeding Frenzy.
I thought maybe it was Jonathan Yudkin??

OOPS!
I just dug out FF and there is accordion but no fiddle. In what's left of my memory I hear fiddle, but reality says no.
