To each his own, but personally as soon as I saw America on your list I stopped reading because those songs are in my worst 100
And the Cartman Come Sail Away is one of my fave episodes.

Wow. It seems I'm getting a lot of negative input. Like I said. Some of those artists are not even close to my top 100 artists. They just have "one" song I like. And we're all different. No one will agree with "anyone's" top 100. You gotta be open-minded here. If I did a top ten artists list it would go like this in this order....
1) Jimmy Buffett - self explanatory
Best Song - It's My Job
2) Billy Joel - he's amazing, what can I say?
Best Song - Scene From An Italian Restaraunt
3) Elton John - same style as Joel, "great" performer
Best Song - Daniel
4) Eagles - good 'ol time music
Best Song - Hotel California
5) Beatles - so many good hits
Best Song - Maxwell's Silver Hammer
6) James Taylor - what a voice, calmes my nerves
Best Song - Sweet Baby James
7) Steely Dan - discovered about 2 or 3 years ago by me
Best Song - My Old School
8) Harry Chapin - great storytelling style
Best Song - Mr. Tanner
9) Phil Collins - touching and "real" music
Best Song - Another Day In Paradise
10) Crosby, Stills, and Nash - amazing harmony
Best Song - Suite Judy Blue Eyes
Okay. Please don't everybody jump all over me here again. This is just "my" type of music. Everyone of these artists are "great" to me. They all have "a bunch" of songs I like. There's no All-4-One, Del Amitri, etc...also known as one hit wonders. And for the record...to you haters of America and Boyz 2 Men...they are in my top 20.

not to be a hater so much (I, too, really like many of the songs you've listed),
but it kinda reads like the playlist on "soft FM" radio.
How about some choices with just a little edge?....
No Drive-By Truckers?
$#@&...only Vegas again?? Padres ...gotta start believin'!Bring on '14 Spring Training!

OMG Larry we disagree on .. OH wait one song...LIPH wrote:There are a lot of songs on the list I never heard, but you're kidding with these, right? These are some of the worst songs ever recorded. And not 1 Springsteen song?Papa T wrote:I got bored and decided to make a top 100 songs list, but I took out Buffett so it wouldn't be top 50 songs plus 50 Buffett songs. LOL. This took me a few weeks. It's too hard to put them in order from best to worst so I put them in alphabetical order. I know that some of these artists don't measure up to others in the least bit. That's why it's a top 100 "songs" list. Someone like Smash Mouth or Westlife doesn't come close to Billy Joel, James Taylor, etc. They just have "one" song I really like. What's your favorite song off of this list? Artist? Favorite song not on this list? Artist?
Top 101 Songs Ever in Alphabetical Order

Big & Rich - Save A Horse (Ride A Cowboy)
