Not going to read all the replies, and I almost certainly would not participate in political discussions here, but if there WERE a forum for it, maybe it would attract those comments that you are finding elewhere, keepint them out of social areas. Plus, it's nice to be able to discuss all kinds of issues with those people that you have a lot in common with already, such as the people here have.
Some will go and some will stay. It doesn't matter anyway ......
