Download from YouTube
I know that YouTube says you cannot download the video, but there has to be some way around this. Anyone know how?
Either that, or does anyone know what program will play a *.flv file?

you can try this: http://www.rivavx.com/index.php?encoder&L=3
I've never used it, but I've heard others vouch for it.

I sent it to the person who approves my expenses, but they could not open it. It keeps saying they need to download the latest flash player even after than download and install it.

I havent tried it myself but I dont see why doing a rip with your DVD burning software wouldnt work. If it is copyright protected, you can always use DVD decrypter.
I will give it a shot and add it to my server..if all goes well.

Well, the encoder is backwards (WMV to FLV), but it did come with a player. Thanks!SharkOnLand wrote:you can try this: http://www.rivavx.com/index.php?encoder&L=3

I have a computer from the stone age. It doesn't even have a CD burner on it. In fact , to start it up I have to use the "pull start " cordspoonerhizolehound wrote:Hey Myke,myke212 wrote:My CD spends most of it's life in my car, so i downloaded it from Google to avoid having to go to the car everytime I wanted to watch it.spoonerhizolehound wrote:Guys...it's on the new CD. So the Google video option is probably the only option for me

I feel your pain - been there, done that. It's frustrating, I know. But you can still put in the drive. It is much clearer and cleaner than the youtube version.myke212 wrote:I have a computer from the stone age. It doesn't even have a CD burner on it. The encoder mentioned above has a stand alone FLV player. It worked well.telnform wrote:.flv is Flash Video file and cannot be played by itself .. you actually need a .swf file to play all .flv files .. there may be something out there that will, but a simple .swf player (flash player) should work

OK, I copied the video from the disc. I reencoded it to digital(mp4) and reencoded it to a high quality mpeg (to accomodate the masses) with Dolby 5.1 surround sound. It is now part of my JB video collection on my server. On another note, the video doesnt seem to play the sound with the video when I play the disc. I'll look into that further. If anyone wants it, let me know.myke212 wrote:My CD spends most of it's life in my car, so i downloaded it from Google to avoid having to go to the car everytime I wanted to watch it.spoonerhizolehound wrote:Guys...it's on the new CD.
