Oh, oops - Through The Lonely Nights was the B-side to The Rolling Stones' It's Only Rock'N'Roll single. TTLN was recorded for the Goats Head Soup LP but was not the last Jimmy Miller produced track to appear on a studio release AFTER Miller...stopped producing the Stones in 1973.

Oops II - the only place to find it on CD is on Rarities - and it's an excellent song.

I once heard a recording of Jimmy and Frank Sinatra singing
"Mac the Knife". :pirate:

It was pretty cool.

In 99 with the impending cup challenge my sis and I made a sign and screamed for "Take it back" at the millenium bash. But no joy. Now, with the Swiss in posession, none of it applies. But topical songs are often forgotten and JB does mostly timeless tunes.

My hubby just played that a week or so ago... first time I heard it in awhile. It is pretty cool!

It's on Frank Sinatra's Duets #2.

Sitting in the back of a Parrothead shuttle late one night at MOTM 2006 I heard a Buffett song entitled "Souvenirs". Was I just drunk or is that an actual song? I had never heard it before and would love to hear it again. Thanks.

First...the ULTIMATE forgotten song...is Buttermilk Grove. He played it once in Massachusetts in the middle of the 70's and fortunately someone got it on tape. It's like if Paul McCartney had just tossed aside Yesterday or something. It's like that to me. I mean, he didn't even lay it down on vinyl. Just one show. Oh, well. Here are some favorites of mine that are offically sanctioned, with the dates of the year last performed, according to the archives.

White Sport Coat - They Don't Dance Like Carmen No More (1998)
Living an Dying - West Nashville Grand Ballroom Gown (1997)
A1A - Dallas (1997)
Havana Daydreamin' - Cliches (1997)
Changes - Miss You So Badly (1999)
Sailor - Livingston Saturday Night (1993)
Volcano - Dreamsicle (2001)
Coconut Telegraph - Incommundicado (2001)
Harbour - Twelve Volt Man (2001)
Riddles - Love in Decline (Never?)
Mango in Paris - The Perfect Partner (1997)
Lizard - Why the Things We Do (Never?)
Fruitcakes - Love in the Library (Never?)
Barometer Soup - Jimmy Dreams (1995)

Why does he keep playing the same old stuff when he's got an arsenal like that he doesn't use?
